ANCA PÂRLEA BAND
Anca Pârlea Band will carry us all back through time, on the vapors of a fine glass of wine. She will tell us stories which enchanted our grandparents’ young years, spiced up with jazz flavors. They propose a blend of old Romanian music, from those golden times between the Great Wars, assorted with American jazz and swing. The classic and immortal songs of yesteryear are retold in a unique way, making for an unforgettable evening with irreplaceable company.
During the BABEL Festival, Anca Pârlea Band will have a special guest of world renown – the great jazz violinist Carmen Piculeață, who has worked with the famous Cirque du Soleil and resides in Montreal, Quebec.
Anca Pârlea este o Zaraza modernă care ne poartă prin timp, la un pahar de vin bun. Spune poveştile care le-au încântat tinereaţea bunicilor noştri, condimentate cu aromă de jazz . O combinaţie de muzică veche românească, din timpuri interbelice, asortată cu jazz&swing american. „Vrei să ne-ntâlnim sâmbătă seara“, „Ionel, Ionelule“, „Omul de inimă rea“ sau „Căsuţa noatră“, spuse într-o manieră inedită cu parfum de altădată sunt câteva dintre ingredientele unei seri de neuitat, într-o companie de neuitat.
În Festivalul BABEL, Anca Pârlea Band va avea un invitat special de renume mondial – marele violonist de jazz Carmen Piculeață, care a lucrat la celebrul Cirque du Soleil și locuiește în Montreal, Quebec.
